Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that there is a possibility of customer information leakage from the Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) database. It was revealed by the research of their engineers and security research company that their system was hacked on April 16 and 17.
The customer information includes SOE 24,600,000 account information, 12,7000 users' credit/debit card numbers and expiration dates outside of U.S.A. and 10,700 users' purchase history from Austria, Germany, Holland and Spain.
The information that may be illegally acquired are the followings:
Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, Gender, DOB, Login ID, Hashed Password
On top of the above information, of those 10,700 users in Austria, Germany, Holland and Spain had additional information on direct debit card purchase history including Account number, Account holder's name, Customer Name and Customer Address.
