On What Condition Is Maeda (Slim Club) Allowed To Date His Girlfriend?

Ken Maeda of Slim Club talked about the episode of when he met his girlfriend's father.

Last year, Slim Club has won the second prize in M-1 Grand-prix and became widely known. It was right before the M-1 when Maeda visited his girlfriend's house.

When asked by her father what he does for living, he answered that he was a comedian. Her father snapped at him and said, "that's so lame". Then, to Maeda's surprise, he continued, "You've gotta be bigger than Komoto from Jicho-Kacho. Then I would give you a permission to date my daughter."

It was then revealed that her father was a big comedy fan and Junichi Komoto from Jicho-Kacho is his most favorite comedian of all time. He made Maeda perform one of Komoto's materials, "There is no tanmen I can feed you". When Maeda tried to do it, he accused of Maeda's cracked voice and did not approve his performance.

Shortly after this incident, Maeda has won in the M-1 Grand-prix, he revisited her house again. When her father saw him, he gave him thumbs up and said "iiyo!!!", which is one of Maeda's materials. It means that he has finally approved Maeda as his daughter's boyfriend.
