It is not so known that he used be an assistant to Hiroyuki Sanada while he was a member of Japan Action Club run by Shinichi Chiba. He carried Sanada's bags and took care of him. He used to buy Sanada's favorite drinks from a vending machine and carry them around in a cooler box in order to hand one whenever Sanada needs it. Despite his effort, Sanada threw fit at him on several occasions.
When MC Wentz Eiji asked him whether he now costars with Snada, Tsutsumi's face went stiff. "There is no way! I cannot act with Sanada!", says Tsutsumi. According to him, he still feels nervous when talking to Sanada and his voice gets strained. He said his assistant spirits just cannot go away when he is with Sanada.
His first moview was 'Inujini Seshimono' in which he played arole of a gang when he was 21 year old. He hardly appeared on the screen and there was only one line for him, but once the movie was aired, his line was cut off.
