"She Is A New Type of Idol": Yamasato (Nankai Candies) Praises One of The AKB48 Members

Ryota Yamasato of Nankai Candies is widely known to be a big fan of AKB48. He analysed Rino Sashihara who made a great progress in the AKB48 election.

A week after the Third Annual AKB48 annual election, it is still a big subject of the media. On June 16 during 'Naruhodo! HighSchool', it showed some sensational scenes from the election.

He introduced the comment of Rino Sashihara, who took a big leap from the 19th to 9th place this year. Her comment became controversial: "I have no self-confidence. I am not good at dancing nor singing, and on top of it, I am not pretty. I have nothing to be proud of my self. But I am so proud of all of you who gave me 45,000 votes".

Yamasato said it was not a typical comment to give to fans. He is a big AKB48 fan, and he was giving high points to Rino Sashihara before the election. He praised Sashihara that she 'truly thinks of her fans as her buddies' and she is a 'completely new type of idol' while having tears in his eyes.

Personally, the author does not think that Sashihara is not pretty. But her talking skills are not bad at all on TV. She is surely a unique type in AKB48. We look forward to see her as a media member.
