The legendary idol, Momoe Yamaguchi disappeared from TV when she was 21-year old. She was famous for her big heart and it is still talked among many people. A singer, Hiromi Iwasaki talked about her memory with Momoe Yamaguchi in Downtown DX.
Idols are who they are because of their fans. However, it is natural that they fall in love with boys during her youth. In fact, these idols back in 1970's were in love just like any other girls, but it was so discrete. There was an opportunity that several idols such as Momoe Yamaguchi, Junko Sakurada and Hiromi Iwasaki were gathered together during some music festival. Their conversation topic was shifted to their love life and boys they liked, and Iwasaki was happy that she had friends who can talk about such things to each other. However, she was later confronted by Sakurada that they should not be discussing about their private love life because they are idols.
Sakurada was absolutely right but Iwasaki was not convinced because they weren't anybody else other than each other to talkabout such things. "I can never be her freind!" Iwasaki was so furious. When Yamaguchi saw her, she said, "Don't be so mad. At least, you know that it's her opinion". Yamaguchi was only 16-year old but Iwasaki was so impressed by her maturity. Young Yamaguchi knew exactly what to do in order to build good relationships with others.
