A combat cameraman, Yoichi Watanabe reported that he recently returned from Afghanistan. He originally appeared on TV to show what it is like in the war frontline and he immediately became popular. Because he was constantly seen on TV almost everyday, people started to wonder whether he quit his job as a combat cameraman.
However, in "Waratte-iitomo" on May 6, he revealed that he had been in Afghanistan for a month. The first thing he wanted to do upon his return was to eat Tonkatsu (pork cutlet) becauseeating pork is forbidden in those muslim countries.
He was in Afghanistan last summer as well. He said, "I am happy to be back to 'Waratte-iitomo frontline'". His toughness going back and forth between TV and Afghanistan is beyond our imagination.
