The general incorporated association Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) administering musical copyright announced “JASRAC Award” on May 24, which goes to the best three domestic works represent a large share of the royalty distribution.
This Award came to the 29th this year. The Gold Award was given to “Zankoku-na Tenshi-no Teeze (Cruel Angel’s Thesis)” (lyrics by Oikawa Neko, music by Sato Hidetoshi), which is the theme song of the popular animation “Neon Genesis Evangelion”. It had gained the 2010 JASRAC Bronze Award; it successively received the Award for two years.
