Popular actor Mukai Osamu: “Please put it in my coffin when I die.”

Mukai Osamu, who acted in the movie “Paradise Kiss” released on June 4, is appearing on various TV programs in this week for PR of the movie. Just before the movie’s release, he appeared on “Interesting rumors: Tell me! Talk-ssu” in “Sukkiri!!” (by Nippon Television Network) and answered to viewers’ questions.

Mukai Osamu is now one of the most popular actors. MC of “Sukkiri!!”, Hayama Helene may be his fan, too; from the start of the program, she was so excited and Terry Ito said “Be quiet!” to her. Unusually there were many visitors in the studio; it showed his high attractiveness.

In such an atmosphere, Mukai answered to questions coolly and calmly as usual. When Hayama put back the bass guitar brought by Mukai, casually he helped her; Kato Koji teased about it: “He looks more attractive!” He is not only cool, but also naturally kind to others.

Mukai said his treasure is his mug, encaustic white china made by him when he was in kindergarten. There are his name “Osamu” written in hiragana and a red flower on the mug. He still uses this mug to drink coffee in his house; it’s in daily use. He said this mug is brought by his hands when he moves to a new place. And he told: “This mug is such a precious thing. Please put it in my coffin when I die.”

In the fortune-telling at the end of the feature program, he looked doubtful about what he was said: He will get married at about 40. He is now 29 years old but he wants to get married in his 30’s; he seems to think his marriage is not the distant future but a few years later. His fans may cry, though he doesn’t want to be single; he clearly declared: “If I decided to get married, I’ll do.” By any chance, he has already had such a person, hasn’t he?
