Seiji Chihara Almost Got Kidnapped As A Child

Seiji Chihara of Chihara Brothers revealed the truth about his kidnapping story on TV. Seiji Chihara(41) is widely known for his unattractive appearance who had been nominated in top 10 ugly Yoshimoto comedians every year. However, he used to be really cute as a boy, and in fact, he got almost kidnapped during his childhood. But, this incident was told by his younger brother, Chihara Jr. hence it was thought that it could be a little bit exaggerated. On June 5, Seiji Chihara himself told the story in 'Boken JAPAN! Kanjani MAP' (TV Asahi) to reveal the truth.

When Seiji Chihara took out some pictures of his childhood, Maruyama and Yokoyama of Kanjani were shocked to see the big gap between the boy in the pictures and current Seiji. He was indeed cute. When Seiji was 3 or 4 years old, he went to a shopping mall with his mother. "I almost got kidnapped while my mother was looking away", said Seiji. This female stranger took his hands saying "You are too cute!" and walked away. When she almost put him in her car, Seiji's mother noticed it and he was rescued. When the Kanjani members heard the story, they wondered how this cute little boy has turned into the person who looks like a sea slater.

Seiji Chihara has so many unique stories like this, and that due to his friendliness. He can become friends with anybody even with Masai Tribesmen. On this day, he walked around the city of Kyoto with Kanjani, and with each store owners, he acted like old friends and spent long time talking to them. He surely has a talent to become friends with anyone.
